Climate Pledge Arena
Home of Seattle Kraken, major concert venue at Seattle Center
History: Originally built for the 1962 World's Fair as the Washington State Pavilion. Renamed Seattle Coliseum (1964), KeyArena (1995). Underwent a $1.15 billion privately-financed renovation by Oak View Group, reopening October 2021 as Climate Pledge Arena with a Foo Fighters concert. World's first net-zero carbon-certified arena. Amazon purchased naming rights in 2020 to promote The Climate Pledge initiative. The iconic roofline from the 1962 structure was preserved during the rebuild.
