History: Built in stages between 1920 and 1923 as a candy shop, vaudeville theater, and early cinema. Designed by Seattle architect John L. McCauley. Purchased by Cultural Space Agency and Rainier Avenue Radio, marking the first time in its 100-year history the theater is owned by the community it serves.
