History: Originally opened March 1, 1928 as the Seattle Theatre, built by Paramount Pictures for nearly $3 million. Designed by renowned Chicago architects Rapp & Rapp. Renamed Paramount Theatre to match Publix theater branding. Operated as a movie palace for decades before transitioning to live performance. Purchased by Ida Cole who restored and preserved the venue before transferring ownership to Seattle Theatre Group in 2002.
