Sunset Tavern
Intimate live music venue and cocktail bar in Seattle's historic Ballard neighborhood, hosting diverse genres seven nights a week in a space that was formerly a Chinese restaurant from the 1940s-1970s.
History: The building housed a Chinese restaurant from the 1940s-1970s, which explains its distinctive decor. Owner Max Genereaux constructed a stage in 2000 to transform it into a live music venue. The venue started serving liquor in 2005. Celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2010 and has become a cornerstone of Seattle's indie music scene.
